Dear Student,

This is the 2014 – 2015 terms and conditions guide for singing and piano lessons with Ian Castle, trading as 21st Century Music. This financial year will see a change in my business name from 21st Century Singing to 21st Century Music to accommodate the extra services I provide. This year will also see the introduction of the GST which will come into effect 01/10/2014

Lesson Duration:

Singing and piano lessons are available in 30 minute and 1 hour timeslots.

Lessons Per Term:

Each term will consist of ten lessons and will coincide with school terms. There are four terms per year. Students will be notified when terms begin and end, and are required to attend every lesson. Lessons are generally not available during holiday periods however exceptions can be made for special circumstances.

Lesson Fees:

Individual singing and piano lessons start at $30 plus GST per half hour (effective 01/10/14).  Lessons with Ian are $35 plus GST per half hour
An annual Registration fee of $10 is due at the commencement of lessons. This covers student insurance, copyright licencing and lesson materials like backing tracks and sheet music for the year.

Payment Policy:

Students choosing to pay weekly must stay paid one week in advance. No credit will be given. For students paying by the term, payment must be finalised by the end of week two of any given term. If payment has not been received by due dates lessons may be suspended or cancelled.

Lesson Cancellation:

24 Hours notice is required when cancelling a lesson. Missed lessons with notice given will be made up if time permits during the term. If a lesson is cancelled “on the day” a rescheduled lesson will not be available and no refund will be given. Missed lessons will not be carried over to the next term.

Student Responsibility:

• Students are required to bring a USB storage drive to each lesson to transfer and store backing tracks and vocal exercises.
• Students should bring a bottle of water to keep their voice hydrated.
• Students should take care not to “over use” their voice on the day of their lesson. This includes shouting and excessive talking.
• Students are required to bring an A4 folder to store music and lyrics.
• Students should arrive 10 minutes prior to the lesson and wait in the seating area provided.

Payment Details:

Cash, cheque and internet banking are accepted.

For each visitor to reach the site, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the Site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalized content to you while you are at this Site.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will use for these new purposes only, data collected from the time of the policy change forward will adhere to our updated practices.
